Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounting operations: general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
- • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements — on time, no excuses.
- • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to prevent surprises and failures.
- • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.
- • Oversee audits and work directly with internal and external auditors.
- • Implement and improve accounting systems and internal controls — close loopholes.
- • Supervise and mentor accountants; review their journal entries and reports.
- • Analyze costs, revenues, and financial risks to support management decisions.
- • Coordinate with procurement, HR, and operations to align financial processes.
- • Approve vendor payments, expense reports, and reconciliations — gatekeeper of money.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — professional certifications preferred (CPA, CMA highly valued).
- • Minimum 5+ years practical accounting experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- • Strong command of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- • Expert-level knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.).
- • Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
- • Experience handling tax filings and regulatory submissions.
- • Ability to manage deadlines and perform under pressure without dropping accuracy.
- • Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills — calm under financial chaos.
- • Fluency in English; strong report-writing skills
